_In addition to art, I also have a love for music, particularly jazz.  I have never studied music and I cannot play any musical instrument; consequently, my musical talent lies in the realm of "listening".  I have combined these two interests by visually portraying music on canvas.  I try to utilize variations in color, texture, and composition to communicate the emotion that one feels when listening to a range of musical situations.
